president's message
Dear Fellow Catholic Educators,
Being called to this vocation—to spread the Gospel and form young people according to the Apostolic faith—can be both an immense challenge at times and the greatest source of joy at other times. Our work is of the utmost vitality to our mother Church. Without brave and bold witnesses like yourselves, who spread the words of Christ, knowledge of Christ’s salvation would be lost. All it takes is a single generation to remain inattentive to evangelization, and Christianity could cease to be. You are doing commendable work, work which the very pages of scripture affirm (cf. James 3:1) is a great honour and momentous responsibility.
The members of the Catholic Teachers Guild of Toronto are here to support one another. It is in fellowship rooted in Christ that we can find the strength to persevere, even on the most challenging days. Prayers, support, and resources offered freely to one another are at the basis of a strong Catholic education community.
I hope that you will find participation in the Guild’s activities and network of phenomenal teachers to be a huge asset to you in both your faith life and teaching profession.
In Solidarity in Christ,
Andrew Hume
President
